New York Mayor's Office of Media & Entertainment (MOME) and Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (VLA)

Kike Aluko Wahutu, Associate in our Atlanta and New York office, Entertainment & Media practice, served as the liaison behind a growing collaboration between the New York Mayor's Office of Media & Entertainment (MOME) and Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (VLA). As a member of the Associate Board of VLA, following NY Music Month 2024, Kike identified an opportunity to connect the two organizations, resulting in the launch of the MOME x VLA Free Legal Clinic Series for Music Professionals in New York City. The program, now in its third clinic, provides music industry professionals with free legal support and a complimentary year-long VLA membership. The initiative reflects Kike's broader work at the intersection of law, music, and creative industries, and her ongoing efforts to expand access to legal resources for music professionals and creatives in the New York City community.
