TAMPA – Dec. 2, 2025 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A. has expanded its Tampa office with the addition of Associates Jeffrey A. Katz and Erin Ward.

Katz joins the firm’s Litigation Practice, where he represents clients in commercial and toxic tort disputes in state and federal courts. He handles matters across several industries, including business, real estate, and defense manufacturing. He sharpened his legal research, writing, and appellate skills while clerking for the Hon. Gerald Bard Tjoflat of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the court’s longest-serving judge. Before joining Greenberg Traurig, Katz served as editor-in-chief of the Florida Law Review and completed internships with multiple federal and state judges. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and holds a B.S. in political science and psychology from Florida State University. He is admitted to practice in Florida.
Ward joins the firm’s Corporate Practice, representing both public and private companies, financial sponsors, and investment managers in complex domestic and cross-border transactions across a wide range of industries, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions. She also advises clients on corporate governance, securities, and general corporate matters. Before joining Greenberg Traurig’s Tampa office, she was an associate at an international law firm in New York, where she focused her practice on corporate governance and sophisticated transactional work. Ward holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law and a B.S.B.A. from the University of Miami. She is admitted to practice in Florida and New York.
