Dr. Nancy Costigliola is a Patent Agent in Greenberg Traurig’s Global Patents and Innovation Strategies Group. Nancy focuses her practice on patent prosecution and counseling for clients in all stages of development, from start-ups and universities to large pharmaceutical companies. She also conducts Intellectual Property due diligence for life science technology transactions and assists venture capital firms and other investors in assessing risks of IP investments.
Nancy brings a strong technical background to her practice. Nancy earned her Ph.D. in Cell Biology with a concentration in Biophysics at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, with funding from the American Heart Association. Nancy performed her post-doctoral work in the laboratories of Gaudenz Danuser and Tim Mitchison in the Systems Biology Department at Harvard Medical School, publishing her work in PNAS. She received her B.A. in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Genetics, from Cornell University.
Before becoming a Patent Agent, Nancy led collaborations in research and development and small molecule mechanism of discovery as a research scientist at a pharmaceutical company.
