Michael is an associate in Greenberg Traurig’s Products Liability & Mass Torts Practice in the firm’s Atlanta office. He focuses his practice on defending manufacturers and other corporate clients in products liability and mass tort litigation involving pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and consumer products. Michael represents clients in complex matters before state and federal courts, including multidistrict litigation (MDL) proceedings and mass torts.

Michael earned his J.D. with honors from Emory University School of Law, where he concentrated in civil litigation and dispute resolution and served as a Notes and Comments Editor of the Emory International Law Review. He also completed the International Law Summer Courses at The Hague Academy of International Law and holds a B.A. in political science from Binghamton University.

Before joining Greenberg Traurig, Michael represented health care entities, including hospitals and long-term care facilities, in medical malpractice and other civil litigation matters. He was involved in all stages of litigation, from initial investigation and pleadings through discovery, depositions, hearings, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings.

Michael developed additional litigation experience during law school through positions with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Tax Division, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the DeKalb County Office of the Public Defender, and Emory University School of Law’s International Humanitarian Law Clinic, where Michael served as a student attorney.
