Jorge Velázquez is an associate based in Greenberg Traurig’s London office. He has experience in commercial arbitration, investment arbitration, and public international law. He has particular experience advising sovereign states and private parties in the energy, construction and infrastructure sectors, including under the ICC, LCIA, HKIAC, CAM, CeCAP, CIRD, and the UNCITRAL Rules.

- Investment arbitration representing a Gulf State with a claim value of USD 1 billion.
- ICC arbitration relating to a JV dispute in an EPC Contract for the construction of a power plant with a claim value of USD 250 million.
- Submission before the International Court of Justice regarding its Advisory Opinion on Obligations of States in respect of Climate Change.°
- CAM arbitration relating to the early termination, due to the COVID pandemic, of a lease agreement for the corporate offices of a truck manufacturer.°
- ICC arbitration relating to the lease of energy-efficient equipment.°
- LCIA arbitration relating to a subcontractor’s failure to perform work for the construction of a combined-cycle power plant.°
- ICC arbitration relating to fuel prices of a combined-cycle power plant.°
- ICC arbitration relating to the modernization and upgrading of a petrochemical plant.°
