MEXICO CITY – Dec. 5, 2022 – Attorneys from global law firm Greenberg Traurig’s Energy and Natural Resources Practice in Mexico City represented NFE Upstream Co., in connection with the negotiation and execution of a Comprehensive Exploration and Extraction Services Contract (CSIEE) with Pemex Exploración y Producción (PEP) for the Lakach natural gas field, one of the largest natural gas fields located in deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
NFE Upstream Co., is a subsidiary of New Fortress Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: NFE), a global energy infrastructure operator in the offshore oil and gas, utility, nuclear, wind and renewable sectors that provides turnkey energy services worldwide.
This project with CSIEE with PEP has been reported as an important step in contributing to the Mexican Government's efforts to increase natural gas production.
