Greenberg Traurig’s Andrew (A.J.) Tibbetts Speaks at Northeastern University’s NAI Annual Meeting

BOSTON – Jan. 26, 2024 – Andrew (A.J.) Tibbetts, an Intellectual Property (IP) & Technology shareholder in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Boston office, spoke on Artificial Intelligence (AI) during Northeastern University’s Chapter of the National Academy of Inventors’ (NAI) annual meeting Jan. 18. Tibbetts’s session, “IP Insights,” focused on IP strategies for protecting investments made in AI and related technologies, as well as strategies entrepreneurs may use to protect their innovations.

Tibbetts leverages prior experience as a software engineer to provide practical IP strategy counseling on matters related to software-implemented tech across a range of industries, from networking, fintech, and natural language processing through to life sciences, AI, medical records, and medical devices. He advises a wide array of clients on IP strategies, ranging from international and publicly traded companies and large research institutions to small and growing companies. He serves on the board of directors of MassMEDIC and HealthTech Build, helping to support digital health efforts in the New England area.

NAI is a member organization comprising U.S. and international universities, governmental agencies, and nonprofit research institutes. Northeastern’s Chapter of the NAI serves to empower inventorship and entrepreneurship across the innovation ecosystem by recognizing, inspiring, educating, and connecting members of the academic and industrial communities.
