Greenberg Traurig Wins: Firm is U.S. Deal Counsel for Latin Lawyer 2022 Private M&A ‘Deal of the Year’

NEW YORK – May 6, 2022 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP was presented an award for its role as U.S. Deal Counsel for the Latin Lawyer 2022 Private Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Deal of the Year at the publication’s annual event May 5 at the Unique Hotel in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In this multi-national, complex proptech deal, Greenberg Traurig represented Navent, an online real estate marketplace in Latin America, in connection with its acquisition by Quinto Andar. The award recognizes landmark Latin American deals and cases across 11 categories.

Navent Group includes companies in Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, and Mexico, and the agreement consolidates QuintoAndar holding as the largest housing group in Latin America. Navent, which will continue to operate its real estate services, will now have more resources and access to technology and talent as a result of the transaction.

The Greenberg Traurig team representing Navent in the deal was led by Antonio Peña, Co-Chair of the firm’s Latin American Practice Group, with the close involvement of Shareholders Seth J. Entin and Manuel R. Valcarcel IV, Of Counsel Arnaldo C. Rego, Jr., and International Associate (Foreign Law Clerk) Humberto Molina, in the firm’s Miami office. Other deal members included Shareholders Kara M. Bombach, in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, and Joseph Mamounas, in the firm’s Miami office.
