G. Michelle Ferreira to Present at 57th Annual Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning

SAN FRANCISCO – Jan. 10, 2023G. Michelle Ferreira, co-managing shareholder of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices and member of the Global Tax Practice, will present at the 57th Annual Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning conference Jan. 9-13.

Ferreira will present on a panel titled “Split Dollar Is Still Alive and Kicking – Fundamentals and Intergenerational Update” on Jan. 11, 2023 at Heckerling. The panel will discuss split dollar life insurance premium financing, economic benefit, loan regimes, and income, estate and gift tax consequences. Ferreira will highlight a recent pro-taxpayer Tax Court intergenerational decision, Estate of Marion Levine v. Commissioner 158, T.C. No. 2 (2022)..
