BOSTON – March 8, 2022 – Mian R. Wang, a Litigation shareholder in the Boston office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will moderate the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association webinar, “No Releases for You! Purdue Pharma, the ‘Texas two-step’ and other recent developments in managing mass tort liabilities,” March 9 at 5 p.m. EST.
Wang and her fellow panelists will discuss the trend by companies and defendants to use the bankruptcy courts to resolve mass tort cases, proposed legislation to curtail the availability of third-party releases used to manage tort liabilities, as well as the future of mass-tort-related bankruptcies.
Wang focuses her practice on business litigation and represents public and private companies, financial institutions, directors, officers, and individuals before state and federal courts in commercial and bankruptcy litigation. She has broad experience handling matters related to breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duties, preference claims, Uniform Commercial Code secured transactions, negligence, wire fraud, and unfair and deceptive trade practices disputes. Wang’s practice covers multiple disciplines and industries, including education, health care, event management, startup firms, financial institutions, and commercial finance and asset management firms.
