NEW YORK – Oct. 31, 2022 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP is a finalist in four categories for The American Lawyer (Am Law) Industry Awards: Corporate Purpose Award, Best Business Team, and the Regional Litigation Department of the Year awards for Georgia and for New Jersey. Am Law is to hold an awards ceremony Nov. 10.

Am Law noted that the awards not only honor the inspirational work of attorneys, but also aim to celebrate ways in which the profession is innovating and better meeting client needs.

“We are honored to be recognized among the top law firms and leaders as part of the American Lawyer awards, which celebrates our commitment to achieving the best results for our clients,” Greenberg Traurig CEO Brian L. Duffy said. “Equally as important, we are gratified that these recognitions spotlight our dedication to serving our communities and the importance of bringing together our Greenberg Traurig family after the challenges brought about by the pandemic.”

With the launch of a global training program, more than 100 Greenberg Traurig attorneys have assisted over 118 families of Afghan refugees (over 580 individuals) in the filing of humanitarian parole applications within a nine-month period.

The Best Business Team award honors those teams that have had an identifiable impact on their organization, according to the publication. The firm was named a finalist for the 2021 “Mel on Wheels Getting Together Tour,” conceived as a way to reconnect the workforce after nearly a year of remote work.
