Hiroshi Hara

• Acted for Brookfield Asset Management, a leading global alternative asset manager with over US$1 trillion in assets under management, on the acquisition and financing of a landmark Class A office complex in central Tokyo, including a 48-story, approximately 1.3 million sq. ft. tower serving as the global headquarters of Dentsu Group. Advised on all aspects of the transaction, including tax and legal structuring, due diligence, negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, asset and property management arrangements, and the structuring and negotiation of complex, multilayered financing, including the issuance of TMK bonds.
• Represented a leading global investment firm on its first real estate investment in Japan.°
• Represented a private equity affiliate of Singaporean developer on its first real estate (a portfolio of multi-family assets) investment in Japan.°
• Represented a financial institution in connection with the development and financing of a portfolio of hypercale data centers in Japan.°
• Represented a U.S. real estate investment trust focusing on data centers in formation of joint venture with a Japanese trading company for investment in data centers in Japan, related construction and leasing.°
• Represented a worldwide commercial real estate investment on its acquisition, refinance and disposition of a portfolio of 169 properties in Japan.°
• Represented a capital partner and a portfolio company in Japan in relation to the refinancing of the existing senior indebtedness with a new financing package comprising senior facilities and a mezzanine facility.°
