Jacqueline T. deGrandpre, a litigation shareholder and co-chair of the BBA Products Liability Section, will moderate the BBA webinar. Panelists include Greenberg Traurig Boston attorneys Jeffrey W. Greene and Elizabeth E. Georgiopoulos, who will discuss the continued evolution of eDiscovery protocols, collaboration tools, and related collection strategies, as well as the integration of artificial intelligence into eDiscovery and related document review technologies. Together, they will provide valuable perspectives on the rapidly evolving technology landscape, focusing on the latest advancements and their implications for the legal industry, specifically litigation.
deGrandpre focuses her practice on products liability litigation with an emphasis on pharmaceutical, medical devices, and other consumer products. She also focuses on general litigation matters including commercial litigation, complex business disputes, eminent domain, and white collar criminal matters. deGrandpre has experience representing clients responding to civil investigative demands and enforcement actions brought by both federal and state regulatory agencies. Among other things, she has experience in defending companies against unfair or deceptive business practices claims, like Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 93A - Massachusetts Consumer Protection Act. In addition, she regularly advises and trains clients on information governance, eDiscovery, data privacy issues, cyber security, and litigation preparedness.
Greene is co-chair of the Boston Litigation Practice and co-chair of the firm’s global eDiscovery & eRetention Practice. He is an experienced trial lawyer who focuses his practice on litigation and investigations that involve complex legal, factual, and data-management issues. In addition to his litigation practice, Greene represents companies on a broad range of data privacy and security governance issues, including managing transnational data flows, navigating conflicts between foreign privacy laws and U.S. compliance obligations, regulation of advertising and marketing practices, privacy regulation of employee data, due diligence in sales of corporate assets, records management, and responses to government surveillance requests.
Georgiopoulos maintains a litigation practice with a focus on the areas of electronic discovery, privacy and data protection, and complex commercial litigation. She advises clients regarding best practices in information governance and records management, including drafting retention schedules, relevant policies and procedures and creating and providing related employee training. She also has broad e-Discovery experience, ranging from advising clients regarding litigation readiness and legal hold obligations to assisting with collections, searching and productions. Additionally, Georgiopoulos has experience with domestic and international privacy and data security laws.
