WARSAW – 11 September 2026 – Greenberg Traurig advised Polkomtel sp. z o.o. in connection with the amendment to the Master Services Agreement of 8 July 2021 concluded with Towerlink Poland sp. z o.o. (a Cellnex group company) as well as the order for passive, emission and transmission services to be provided by Towerlink to Polkomtel.
The transaction is a continuation of the 2021 project in which Greenberg Traurig advised Cyfrowy Polsat and Polkomtel on the sale of their infrastructure company to the Cellnex group for over PLN 7 billion and on the conclusion of a Master Services Agreement. It was the first agreement in Europe between a telecommunications operator and an infrastructure operator under which services were provided on the basis of both passive and active infrastructure.
The amendment, signed on 11 September 2026, will enable a comprehensive transformation of the mobile network used by Polkomtel to provide telecommunications services to end customers, comprising the modernisation of the existing transmission infrastructure and its expansion in a model based on the sharing of passive infrastructure owned by the Cellnex group. This will result in a significant increase in the number of sites available to Polkomtel, while reducing the unit cost of passive infrastructure.
The Greenberg Traurig team was led by Deputy Managing Partner Michał Fereniec. The team included Senior Associate Jakub Baczuk, Junior Associate Aleksandra Kochańska and Junior Associate Dominik Kwiatkowski. Local Partner Michał Pietrzak and Counsel Agnieszka Stopińska advised on the corporate aspects of the transaction.
