Julie P. Bookbinder is a registered patent attorney with over 15 years of experience. She has worked in many areas of IP including patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret litigation, patent prosecution, and non-litigation enforcement of trademarks and copyrights. Julie has participated in multiple trials in federal court on both patent and trademark issues, and an arbitration relating to copyright and contract issues. Julie has argued before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and numerous federal district courts, and taken witnesses at trial, arbitration, and before the ITC. Succeeded in obtaining a complete victory for client Chewy, including judgments of non-infringement on three patents and judgments of invalidity on two other patents following a successful motion for summary judgment.

  • Member of litigation team that prevailed on motion for summary judgment of invalidity of all asserted claims by CyberSource against Retail Decisions based on the "machine or transformation" test in In re Bilski.
