Julia Emfinger is temporarily on secondment to a client.
Julia Emfinger’s practice is concentrated on commercial litigation, with an emphasis in real estate litigation, including landlord-tenant and shopping center disputes, mechanics liens and commercial foreclosures. She also represents clients in labor and employment litigation, products liability disputes, and bankruptcy litigation. In addition, Julia represents clients in a wide range of complex business litigation, arbitration, mediation and trials in both state and federal courts.

- Represented real estate investment portfolio in complex commercial foreclosures involving cross-collateralized properties in downtown Chicago and the surrounding areas.
- Represented real estate holding company with substantial shopping center holdings in summary judgment proceedings arising from the acquisition of a number of shopping centers.
- Represented hotel owners in resolving loan defaults and related sale of hotels and dissolution of hotel operations.
- Represented freight and shipping company in commercial lease dispute and obtained summary judgment in client’s favor.
- Represented creditor against insolvent company, obtaining a temporary restraining order to prevent disposition of unique collateral.
- Advised client as to comprehensive mechanics liens issues in more than 15 states.
