Ryan T. Hopper practices with the firm’s litigation group, focusing on environmental, business, and white-collar matters. Ryan’s experience has an emphasis on high-profile environmental and toxic-tort litigation. In the last year, he has played an integral role in assisting his litigation team resolve air- and groundwater-contamination actions involving well over $100 million in claimed damages.
Ryan draws on his multi-disciplinary practice and his experience as a law clerk to resolve cases creatively and efficiently. In addition to his environmental litigation experience, Ryan helps shareholders at Greenberg Traurig represent clients in complex, international white-collar matters as well as products-liability, real-estate, and securities litigation. When he is not representing clients, Ryan contributes to environmental and criminal publications.
Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, Ryan served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Roy B. “Skip” Dalton Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Ryan received both his J.D., magna cum laude, and his B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Florida, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and the Order of the Coif.
