Matthew L. Kanna focuses his practice on the international movement of goods, including trade litigation and regulatory actions before the U.S. International Trade Commission, the U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. federal courts, dispute resolution panels constituted under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), and the World Trade Organization (WTO). Matthew regularly represents large, multinational corporations in both market and non-market economy anti-dumping and countervailing duty proceedings on behalf of both U.S. domestic industries and foreign companies exporting into the U.S. market. Matthew has extensive experience combining specific actions before individual U.S. government agencies to maximize disruption in his clients’ competitors’ supply chains and has defended against similar legal attacks on his clients’ own supply chains. Matthew has a deep understanding of the practical application of U.S. law to impact the movement of goods across international borders.
