John McEntee Honored as a Herald Community Newspaper 2022 Top Lawyer of Long Island

NEW YORK – Sept. 14, 2022 – John P. McEntee, Co-Managing Shareholder of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Long Island office, was recognized as a 2022 Top Lawyer of Long Island at the Herald Community Newspaper awards gala Sept. 13 at The Heritage Club at Bethpage. 

Herald Community Newspaper’s Top Lawyers of Long Island are selected based on their outstanding skills in different areas of legal practice. The Long Island business community nominates lawyers based on their efforts to give back and their commitment to excellence.

McEntee is an experienced trial lawyer in the firm’s Litigation Practice, representing clients in business disputes. Before entering private practice, he served as an Assistant District Attorney in Nassau County and an Assistant Deputy Attorney General with the New York State Organized Crime Task Force.

McEntee served as President of the Nassau County Bar Association and currently is a member of its Board of Directors. He is Chair of the Board of Trustees of Molloy University, a member of the Board of Directors of the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of New York Chapter, and a member of the Council of Governing Boards of the New York State Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities. McEntee also is a fellow of the New York State Bar Foundation.

From 2007 to 2010, and again for nine consecutive years from 2012-2021, McEntee was listed as a New York Super Lawyer in Super Lawyers magazine. He received his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law and his B.S. from The College at Brockport, State University of New York.
