BOSTON – Aug. 20, 2026 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has added Shirin Mirdamadi-Tehrani, a registered patent attorney, as an Intellectual Property & Technology associate based in the firm’s Boston office.
Tehrani counsels technology and life sciences companies on patent prosecution, portfolio strategy, and intellectual property (IP) due diligence. She regularly drafts and prosecutes U.S. and Patent Cooperation Treaty patent applications across mechanical, robotics, chemical, software, and medical device fields, and manages end-to-end IP strategy for client portfolios.
Tehrani leads invention harvesting sessions with engineers and business stakeholders to develop patent and trade secret strategies. Her practice includes preparing and prosecuting office action responses, conducting examiner interviews, and managing foreign filing strategies. She also performs IP due diligence in connection with mergers and acquisitions activity.

Tehrani earned her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She is admitted in California and registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Prior to beginning her legal career, Tehrani was a mechanical engineer in the defense and aerospace industries.
