Stephen R. Goler, a member of the firm's Real Estate Fund Group, focuses his practice on providing fund and joint venture representation to real estate investment fund sponsors and investors located in the United States and internationally. His fund practice includes all stages of the investment fund lifecycle: structuring; formation; governance; and dissolution. Over the course of his career, Stephen has formed and advised funds with various target asset classes, including: multi-family real estate; student housing; industrial real estate; debt/secured lending; opportunity-zone eligible; and GP sponsor interests. Stephen is experienced in structuring funds and joint ventures to minimize tax leakage using blocker structures and REITs for cross border and tax-exempts investors.

Stephen also has substantial experience in complex commercial real estate transactions and he represents and advises investors, developers, operators and lenders in a broad range of transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, property management and development, and secured borrowing.
