Julianna Simon is a commercial litigator with a primary focus on intellectual property disputes and business disputes. Julianna works with clients to develop and implement legal strategies tailored to each client’s unique business objectives. Julianna is experienced in managing cases at various stages of litigation, including first chairing trial, drafting and arguing substantive and procedural motions, and taking and defending depositions. Julianna’s litigation experience extends to state and federal courts nationwide and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (“TTAB”). In addition, Julianna has trademark prosecution experience and counsels clients about brand protection, including parallel imports.

  • Prosecuted dozens of opposition and cancellation proceedings before the TTAB on behalf of leading energy drink company.°
  • Represent SHEIN in a variety of copyright matters.
  • Represented classes of recording artists in two federal class actions for claims of copyright infringement and declaratory relief regarding the validity of copyright termination notices.°
  • Defended online marketplace for print-on-demand products against claims of copyright infringement.°
  • Defended talent agency against claims of breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty, among others.
  • Represented musician in various lawsuits involving claims of breach of contract, fraud, and unfair competition, among others.
  • Represented music manager in contract dispute.
  • Represented lender in connection with lien priority litigation involving more than $260 million in lien claims arising out of the Oceanwide Plaza LLC default; successfully defended the lien priority of LADI’s almost $200 million in senior funding for vertical construction of a three tower, 35 to 50 story high-rise, multi-family, hospitality, and retail mixed use project.
  • First chaired trial with $51 million at stake.
  • Represented clothing company in business ownership dispute.°
