Profile
Dale Goldstein is an experienced litigator who has represented clients in high-stakes disputes in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, consumer class actions, products liability, and securities litigation, with broad experience in matters involving breach of contract, negligence, deceptive trade practices, product defects, trade secrets, non-compete clauses, and professional malpractice. Equally at home in the courtroom and at the negotiating table, Dale brings a practical, business-minded approach to every engagement. She provides clients with candid, strategic counsel at every stage of a dispute, helping them make informed decisions that balance legal exposure against broader business objectives.
Dale has an active consumer protection and class action practice. She defends major consumer brands, national retailers, and product manufacturers against putative consumer class actions and mass arbitration campaigns involving claims of deceptive trade practices, false advertising, and breach of warranty. She has obtained dismissal of class actions at the pleading stage and developed strategies for defending clients against coordinated, high-volume individual arbitration demands.
Dale also has significant experience in products liability litigation, representing multinational medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers in multidistrict litigations and mass torts, serving as a key member on multiple trial teams. Her experience encompasses a range of medical devices and health care products, including hernia mesh, transvaginal mesh, and inferior vena cava filters, across multiple jurisdictions.
Dale also has deep experience in financial and insurance regulatory matters, representing health care providers, corporations, and individuals in investigations by the New York Attorney General’s office and Attorneys Generals offices nationwide. She represents major financial institutions, underwriters, investment advisers, and other companies in connection with investigations and enforcement proceedings by the Securities and Exchange Commission and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, with particular experience in matters involving the offer and sale of municipal bonds, municipal advisory activities, and investment adviser compliance. She has also represented a major insurance company in market conduct examinations and regulatory proceedings before the New York Department of Financial Services and other state regulators.
Dale maintains an active pro bono practice. She serves on the Board of Directors of Family Legal Care, a nonprofit organization that provides critical legal support to unrepresented parents and caregivers navigating Family Court in New York. She also partners with Advocates for Children, representing parents of children with disabilities in proceedings against the New York State Department of Education for failure to provide a free appropriate public education. Through her advocacy at impartial hearings, Dale has secured vital special education services and schooling for numerous students. In 2021, she was named Greenberg Traurig’s Pro Bono Of Counsel of the Year – Litigation.
