Greenberg Traurig's Kristine J. Feher Named Among New Jersey Law Journal's Top Women in Law

MORRISTOWN, N.J. – Oct. 5, 2016 – Kristine J. Feher, Labor & Employment shareholder in global law firm Greenberg Traurig’s New Jersey office, has been recognized by the New Jersey Law Journal as one of the 2016 Top Women in Law. The publication highlighted 25 women attorneys across New Jersey who have had notable achievements in recent years or who have made an extraordinary impact on the legal profession. The honorees will attend a celebratory dinner at the Manhattan Penthouse in New York City Nov. 15.

Feher is an experienced employment litigator and trial attorney, whose practice focuses on representing employers and managers in employment discrimination and wrongful discharge cases arising under employment laws such as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Pregnancy Discrimination Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, the Conscientious Employee Protection Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, and the New Jersey Family Leave Act. In addition, she litigates claims for benefits arising under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, as well as wage payment and overtime compensation claims (including class actions) under the Fair Labor Standards Act and state laws. She also has extensive experience in breach of contract, emotional distress, fraud, and many other employment-related claims; and counsels franchisors regarding employment issues, including avoiding joint employer status with franchisees.

Feher serves as the co-editor of Greenberg Traurig’s Labor & Employment blog, co-chair of the GT Training Workshop team, and is the New Jersey liaison for the firmwide Women’s Initiative. In addition, Feher is a Litigation Counsel of America Fellow, who has been listed in Chambers USA Guide from 2011-2016 as well as in The Legal 500 United States from 2013-2016.

Additionally, the class action group in the firm’s New Jersey office was recently selected by the New Jersey Law Journal as the “Litigation Department of the Year – Class Action,” and will be honored Nov. 16, 2016, at The Newark Club in Newark, New Jersey.
