Lisa Li focuses her practice on U.S. and China cross-border transactions and litigations, particularly in matters involving technology, manufacturing, and real estate. She is knowledgeable of the business, cultural, and legal environments in China and the United States. In addition, Lisa serves in the role of outside general counsel to a number of U.S. subsidiaries of Chinese, Taiwanese, and Singaporean companies. She routinely advises on their U.S. expansion, operation, and management involving compliance, employment, export and import, financing, intellectual property, licensing, and product liability issues.
Lisa represents a broad range of public, private, and startup clients, ranging from mobile app developers, cloud service providers, ecommerce platforms, fintech, and game developers to manufacturers of apparels, cars, consumer products, electronics, furniture, and smartphones.
Lisa has considerable experience in U.S. patent, trademark, and copyright laws, global brand protection strategies, and the legal and ethical issues in deploying artificial intelligence. Lisa practices before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, federal district courts, and the International Trade Commission.
Lisa also counsels many Asia-based real estate developers on corporate formation, joint ventures, investment structure, legal due diligence, contract negotiation, and dispute resolution involving the lease, acquisition, construction, and renovation of residential condominiums, office buildings, data centers, and warehouses in the United States.
