Michael J. Sullivan Leads Panel on Digital Securities at NYU Hospitality Investment Conference

NEW YORK – June 28, 2022 – Michael J. Sullivan, co-chair of the Hospitality Practice Group at global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, moderated a panel discussion on digital securities at the 44th annual International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference hosted by New York University (NYU) June 6.

The panel, titled “Digital Securities: Tokenized Property Interests and the Capital Stack of the Future,” focused on the potential benefits of using blockchain technology to tokenize private real estate securities and the listing and trading of Tokenized Property Interests (TPI) securities on alternative trading systems (ATSs). Joining Sullivan on the panel were Brent Reynolds, CEO and managing partner of TPI issuer Nolan Reynolds International; Michael Hiles, founder and CEO of blockchain technology provider 10XTS and CEO of Ledger Lab; Jeffrey Gangl, chief commercial officer of ATS exchange Templum Markets; and Wee Ming Choo, deputy general counsel of Avalanche blockchain creator Ava Labs.

Sullivan, a shareholder in the firm’s Orlando office, has wide-ranging experience in the acquisition, development, finance, and disposition of hotels, resorts, branded residences, and condo-hotels. He regularly provides guidance on management, franchise, and operating agreements for hotels, publicly financed hotel management agreements, construction and permanent financings, and the purchase of distressed mortgage debt instruments secured by hospitality-related real estate.
