Greenberg Traurig Among 2022 ‘Who’s Who Legal: Sports & Gaming Leading Firms’; 4 Attorneys Listed as ‘Top Gaming Lawyers’

NEW YORK – Oct. 10, 2022 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP was named as a “leading firm” on the 2022 Who’s Who Legal (WWL): Sports & Gaming list. Okerberg focuses her practice on gaming law and promotional law. She has deep experience handling complex gaming licensing, operational, and regulatory matters for U.S. and International clients. She represents land-based and online casino companies, sports wagering operators, manufacturers, and distributors, as well as other companies providing services to the gaming industry. Okerberg also has wide-ranging experience with analyzing and structuring social games, skill-based contests, and sweepstakes. She regularly counsels clients on promotional matters, including advertising claims, charitable promotions, and cause-related marketing.

Sabol focuses her practice on gaming regulatory and business law, representing national and international casino owners, operators, and suppliers in the areas of regulatory compliance, acquisition, licensure, internal investigation matters, and corporate counseling.

Walkowiak advises clients in the esports and video gaming space, both with respect to regulatory matters and privacy issues raised in this emerging and evolving market. He is involved in esports regulation and advises clients regarding video game disciplinary decisions, league training, employment, and anti-corruption policies. He has served as a consultant and esports legal advisor, working with parties throughout sports, media, and entertainment to navigate the complex and evolving esports legal landscape in issues as diverse as antitrust and employment, through media content licensing and intellectual property. He is also a member of both the Esports Bar Association and Video Game Bar Association.

Winkofsky focuses his practice on gaming regulatory compliance, licensure, and internal investigations. He also advises clients on transactional and general corporate matters. Since joining the firm in 2010, Winkofsky has served as regulatory counsel to licensed gaming industry suppliers and operators, horse tracks, video gaming and on-line providers, lottery providers, tribal licensees, and social gaming operators and investors. He has also provided guidance on the gaming regulatory approval process for some of the industry’s largest transactions.
