UNIONDALE, N.Y. – Sept. 14, 2026 – Anthony Bagnuola, a shareholder in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Long Island Litigation Practice, has been named to Long Island Business News’ Long Island Business Influencers: Law 2026 list.
According to Long Island Business News, the Influencers: Law list recognizes “a legal community adapting to the region’s evolving business needs while maintaining the institutional knowledge that clients rely on for complex, high-stakes matters.”
Bagnuola is a former federal prosecutor and experienced first-chair trial and appellate litigator who represents clients in complex commercial disputes, government investigations, and regulatory matters. Before joining Greenberg Traurig, he spent more than seven years with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, where he served in leadership roles, including senior trial counsel and deputy chief of criminal appeals. In those roles, he led teams handling matters involving financial fraud, public corruption, money laundering, racketeering, and obstruction of justice, and helped oversee the appellate practice of the office’s approximately 115-lawyer criminal division.
During his time as a prosecutor, Bagnuola tried numerous complex cases to verdict, conducted evidentiary hearings, oversaw grand jury proceedings, and handled briefing in more than 25 federal appeals, including oral arguments before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He has also taught federal criminal investigations and prosecutions as an adjunct faculty member at St. John’s University School of Law since 2024. Earlier in his career, he worked in the litigation department of an international law firm and served as a federal law clerk in the Eastern District of New York.
