FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Oct. 30, 2026 – Caran Rothchild, a shareholder in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A.’s Fort Lauderdale office, received the Chairperson’s Award from Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida (CCLA). The award was presented at CCLA’s second annual Pro Bono Reception earlier this month in Fort Lauderdale.
The Chairperson’s Award honors former board members whose commitment to CCLA continues beyond their service on the board. The award recognizes individuals who remain dedicated to the vision of a community where everyone has access to the legal resources they need to thrive.
“CCLA has been an important part of my professional and pro bono life for many years, and I remain committed to supporting its mission of ensuring access to justice for all,” Rothchild said. “Pro bono service is part of our responsibility as attorneys and a chance to use our skills to make a meaningful difference in our communities.”
Rothchild previously served on CCLA’s board of directors, including as secretary. She is a former board member, vice chair, and chair of Legal Aid Service of Broward County. She also serves as pro bono coordinator for Greenberg Traurig’s Fort Lauderdale office, where she helps guide younger attorneys in their pro bono work.
She is part of the firm’s Litigation and Labor & Employment practices and represents employers, businesses, municipalities, and management personnel in a broad range of employment, commercial, and civil litigation matters. As an employment adviser and litigator, Rothchild counsels clients on workplace policies, personnel decisions, restrictive covenant and trade secret disputes, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour compliance, disability accommodation, leave and attendance issues, and other employment-related matters. She has represented local and national clients in numerous jury and non-jury trials, arbitrations, administrative proceedings, and appeals.
Rothchild is active in the American Bar Association (ABA)’s Labor and Employment Law and Litigation sections, including committees devoted to equal employment opportunity, employment rights and responsibilities, pro bono service, women advocates, professional ethics, and class action litigation. She also contributed to the sixth and seventh editions of Employment Discrimination Law, published by the ABA Section of Labor and Employment Law and Bloomberg Law.
