Filip Drgas is a member of the Competition Law Practice at the Greenberg Traurig Warsaw office. Filip assists Polish and foreign clients in all aspects of competition and consumer protection law. In particular Filip advises clients on all the antimonopoly issues related to M&A transactions, including representation in merger control proceedings before the European Commission and the President of the Office for Competition and Consumer Protection. He conducts complex antimonopoly audits and advises on cases regarding anticompetitive practices or practices infringing collective consumer interests. Filip has also worked on e-commerce and TMT/new technology projects, focusing on consumer law, data protection and electronic communication issues.

  • Participated in the work for Allianz in connection with the merger proceedings before the European Commission relating to the purchase of the Polish life and non-life insurance operations, as well as pension and asset management business, from Aviva and acquisition of 51% stakes in Aviva’s life and non-life bancassurance joint ventures with Santander.
  • Participated in the work for Telewizja Polsat in merger control proceedings before the Polish Competition Authority in connection with the acquisition of the Interia Group.
  • Participated in the work for Madison International Realty, a leading real estate private equity firm in merger control proceedings before the Polish Competition Authority in connection with the acquisition of a 46.5% stake in European Logistics Investment, holding a Polish real estate warehouse portfolio valued at approximately EUR 500 million.
  • Participated in the work for Cyfrowy Polsat in merger control proceedings before the OCCP concerning the joint venture agreement with Discovery Communications Europe and TVN regarding the establishment of a new OTT platform.
  • Participated in the work for SJL Partners LLC, KCC Corporation and Wonik QnC Corporation in the merger control notification proceedings regarding the intention of the represented parties to acquire joint control over MPM Holdings Inc.
  • Participated in the work for a leading bank in connection with proceedings before the Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection regarding the infringement of collective consumer interests and abusive clauses.°
