Rico Vicencio is a corporate and M&A attorney who advises founders, executive teams, and boards on the transactions that define their companies’ futures — including strategic acquisitions, exits, and financings.

With more than 20 years of experience, Rico represents government contracting, MEP, technology, and life sciences companies in complex mergers and acquisitions and growth financings. His practice focuses on middle-market transactions, for clients ranging from closely held businesses to companies with sophisticated investor and ownership structures, including public companies.

Clients frequently rely on Rico as more than deal counsel. He serves as a strategic advisor on investor relations, board dynamics, and long-term growth planning. As outside general counsel, he guides relationships with venture capital and private equity investors, lenders, and strategic partners, while advising on commercial contracts, joint ventures, licensing, and other corporate matters.

Rico has spent most of his career with Greenberg Traurig, where he brings the reach and sophistication of a global law firm to clients who value practical, business-minded advice and clear execution in pivotal moments. He began his legal career as an attorney in the Division of Corporation Finance at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
