Rico Vicencio is a corporate and M&A attorney focusing on the government contracts, technology and life sciences industries. For over 20 years, he has guided business leaders at private and publicly traded clients through complex buy and sell-side M&A transactions and sophisticated debt/equity financings. Rico also serves as outside general counsel to clients in a variety of industries. In that role, he helps navigate relationships with angels, venture capital, banks and private equity firms, as well as serves as a resource on commercial contracts, joint ventures, licensing and other general corporate matters.

Rico’s representative M&A deals are middle market (generally, up to $500 million) and often include Hart-Scott-Rodino and CFIUS filings, security clearance related matters and other regulatory issues. His clients range from private start-ups to mature publicly traded companies. Private company clients have included closely held businesses and those with hundreds of shareholders or complicated capital structures and waterfalls. Rico’s relationships at these clients are most often with executive level officers, the board of directors, corporate development leaders or founders.
