Ethan B. Wasserman

Ethan B. Wasserman focuses his practice on land use, development and general real estate matters. He represents clients in all aspects of the development approval process, from site diligence, subdivision impacts, zoning applications and construction permitting. During and post construction, clients call on Ethan to assist with day to day local government matters, including building and code enforcement, licensing, special master and general business issues. Ethan is proud to bring creative, innovative and efficient strategies to his clients in order to facilitate a stream lined development process as well as create value to his client’s projects. In light of expanding transit options focused in South Florida, Ethan’s multi-jurisdictional experience create unique opportunities for his clients to expand to new markets in Miami-Dade County.

  • Routinely represents developers seeking project entitlements in the City of Miami (Waiver, Warrants, Exceptions, rezoning, UDRB, etc.), Miami Beach (e.g. Certificates of Appropriateness from Historic Preservation Board and design approval from the Design Review Board) and Miami-Dade County.
  • Represent multiple boutique hotel and apartment projects in the City of Miami Beach.
  • Represent developer of affordable luxury condominium in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida.
  • Represent developer in the entitlement of one the tallest residential towers in downtown Miami.   
  • Lead attorney for the development of a 90,000 square foot convalescent center in the City of Miami, including ground lease from Miami-Dade County, disposition approval from HUD, a Class II permit and Warrant approval from the City of Miami.
  • Ethan routinely represents single family home owners in Miami Beach with Architecturally significant homes.
  • Represent multiple market rate and affordable multifamily development project in every aspect of the development approval process.
  • Represent multiple religious institutions throughout South Florida.
  • Lead attorney for the development approval for the Harbor Condominium project in North Miami Beach. One of the first new projects in the recently created mixed use zoning districts.
  • Responsible for City of Miami Beach, Miami-Dade County and State of Florida licensing approvals for several major hotels and restaurants in South Beach.
  • Represent multiple hotel and business owners in connection with Conditional Use Permit applications before the City of Miami Beach Planning Board.
