Robert S. Galbo concentrates his practice on complex commercial, business, class action, and products liability litigation in federal and state courts. Mr. Galbo has experience representing clients in a wide array of disputes involving commercial transactions, breaches of contract, business torts, fraud, and deceptive and unfair trade practices. He also has experience conducting internal and regulatory investigations for public and private companies in connection with, among other things, government investigations, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, accounting issues, the False Claims Act, the Anti-Kickback Statute, and allegations of health care fraud. Additionally, Mr. Galbo provides defense counsel and consulting in claims under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Fair Housing Act.

  • Defended a financial institution in the Southern District of Florida against a putative nationwide class action alleging RICO and other statutory violations by obtaining dismissal with prejudice after two rounds of motion to dismiss briefing.
  • Defending a consumer products manufacturer in a series of putative class action lawsuits throughout the United States involving, among others, claims of breach of express warranty, breach of implied warranty of merchantability, breach of applicable state consumer protection statutes, and unjust enrichment.
  • Conducted various internal investigations for public and private companies in connection with, among other things, government investigations, accounting issues, and alleged health care fraud.
  • Provided defense counsel, litigation support, and consulting services to numerous businesses, including hotels, restaurants, retail stores, shopping centers, golf courses, and stadiums relating to Title III of the ADA.
