With more than 20 years of employment law experience, Leslie Palma focuses her practice on labor and employment matters in the corporate sector and regularly counsels international clients on workplace strategies for their Mexico operations.

Leslie has broad experience assisting clients with all aspects of employee transfers and standardization of benefits. She advises domestic and foreign companies on labor and employment due diligence, executive compensation, employee benefits, labor management relations, noncompete agreements, and workforce reductions, among other labor issues. Leslie is also an experienced litigator, managing complex disputes and engagements including individual and collective bargaining labor procedures at the national level.

In addition, Leslie counsels clients facing intricate problems relating to implementation of labor structures, compliance investigations, internal labor regulations, employee handbooks, labor restructuring, and collective bargaining agreements. She guides clients through the development and implementation of employment policies confidentiality agreements, and labor and employment contracts.

Leslie previously worked as in-house counsel at an international retailer, as well as at other international law firms in Mexico.

  • Advised a French company based in Mexico in all matters related to administrative restructuring, executive compensation, and internal regulations.°
  • Representation of a multinational food and beverage company on various legal matters, including labor and management issues such as executive benefits, severance pay, employee benefits and compensation, employee relations, noncompete agreements, layoffs, and changes of control.°
  • Advised Stericycle Inc. on restructuring its executive organization chart, employee compensation, labor lawsuits filed by managers, conducting labor audits and overseeing changes in procedures.°
  • Represented Tiendas Soriana S.A. de C.V., owner and operator of grocery and department stores across Mexico, on individual and collective corporate procedures, as well as on labor and employment matters.°
  • Represented Gamesa S de R.L. de C.V. on labor and employment issues, including individual and collective corporate procedures.°
  • Advised Comercializadora Soria S.A. de C.V., formerly known as Comercial Mexicana, on numerous legal matters, including workforce reductions, executive benefits, severance pay, employee benefits and compensation, employee relations, noncompete agreements, layoffs, and changes of control.°
  • Represented an international financial services company on managing labor litigation before the federal and local labor boards in Mexico.°
  • Represented a Mexican real estate trust before the federal labor board in Mexico, regarding labor management relations and amparo procedures.°
