Aaron R. Katz represents companies and private equity firms in connection with various corporate transactions as well as general corporate counseling and governance. He focuses his practice on representing strategic and financial buyers and sellers in transactions, including mergers, stock and asset acquisitions, divestitures and financings involving companies across a variety of industries based throughout the world. Aaron’s global experience is emphasized by having worked with clients from around the world, including Israel, the U.S., China and Europe. Moreover, he has broad experience in working both in Israeli and American environments, having spent more than two years at the GT Chicago office prior to his move to the GT Tel Aviv office in 2014.

Most recently, Aaron was appointed as a member of the firm’s Health Emergency Preparedness Task Force which caters to clients legal needs being adjusted in conjunction with the latest COVID-19 world pandemic.

  • Represented Amadeus IT Group, S.A. in several M&A and venture capital transactions in Israel, Europe and the U.S.
  • Represented Future Media Group in its Acquisition of W Magazine from Condé Nast (media coverage)
  • Represented Canon in their acquisition of Israeli video analysis company BriefCam (media coverage)
  • Represented Clal Insurance in an investment into Carr Properties
  • Represented Sichuan Hebang Corp. Ltd., a public company listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, in its acquisition of a controlling interest in the Stockton Group, an Israeli company operating globally in the environmentally-friendly crop protection industry, for approximately $90 million (Media Coverage).
  • Advised Intercontinental Exchange Group on its $350 million acquisition of Super Derivatives, Inc.
  • Represented Armat Group as part of a Series B investment in a Delaware corporation, which has an Israeli subsidiary (ProoV Inc.)
  • Represented Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec in its cross-border M&A transactions.
  • Represented Nevada Sea Dream, in a $60 million fish-farming/aquaculture project in Nevada, based on Israeli water technology.
  • Represented Sea Dream Fisheries Ltd. in co acquisition of Bell Acquaculture LLC, a $150 million fish farming facility in Delaware County, Indiana.
  • Represented Pitango, a leading Israeli venture capital funds in an investment in an Israel- based IOT startup Neura.
  • Represent iintoo, a global social fundraising platform, in launching into the U.S. market by providing it with U.S. regulatory advice regarding U.S. securities laws and broker deal regulations.
  • Represented a Japanese public technology company in the acquisition of an Israeli technology company for over $200 million dollars.
  • Represented Brentwood Associates in the acquisition of J.McLaughlin, a preeminent designer, marketer and multi-channel retailer of classic American sportswear with modern relevance.
  • Represented several major Israeli insurance companies and pension funds in real estate joint ventures and private equity investments in the U.S.
  • Advised the Delek Group with its $220 million sale of its U.S. property & casualty insurance business. (Hebrew).
  • Represented Brentwood Associates in its acquisition, and subsequent sale, of iconic American shoemaker Allen Edmonds Corporation.
  • Represented InTown Hospitality Investors, L.P., a joint venture including Kimco Realty Corporation, in the sale of InTown Suites to affiliate of Starwood Capital Group, LLC.
  • Represented MidCap Financial, a leading healthcare oriented commercial finance company focused on the middle market in the United States, in its acquisition by an entity managed by Apollo Global Management, LLC, a leading global investment manager.
  • Represented Arlington Capital in its acquisition and subsequent sale of Micron Technologies, a leading global provider of particle size engineering technologies for bioavailability enhancement of pharmaceuticals.
