WARSAW – Sept. 13, 2018 – Greenberg Traurig advised HB Reavis Group on the sale of two A class office buildings, part of the Gdański Business Center complex in the center of Warsaw. The transaction was conducted through the sale of the corporate structure (including the shares and rights and obligations of the general partners) owning the two office buildings – Gdański Business Center C and D (GBC) – to Savills Investment Management who acted on behalf of a global pension fund client. The value of the transaction exceeded EUR 200 million. This transaction one of the biggest of its kind in Poland in 2018.
"The opportunity to work on such a prestigious transaction is proof that we have become one of the unquestionable leaders on the Polish real estate market during these last three years, since the first enlargement of our real estate team in 2015,” said Jolanta Nowakowska-Zimoch, Partner at Greenberg Traurig and Head of Real Estate in Poland.
Greenberg Traurig provided HB Reavis Group with comprehensive legal advice with respect to the transaction and the negotiation of all transaction documents.
The Transaction was led by Partner Radomił Charzyński, supported by Senior Associate Olga Durawa and Associates Filip Widuch and Jakub Gajzler.
The entire GBC complex comprises four A class office buildings and provides ca. 100,000 m² GLA. It combines high quality office space with a unique environment and convenient location. The first two of the four GBC office buildings (i.e. GBC A and B) were sold in December 2016 for EUR 186 million to the same entity, also with the participation of Greenberg Traurig.
“We are very proud that once again we had the chance to work on a transaction that involves the GBC complex. Our knowledge of the asset significantly helped us to provide HB Reavis with a legal service in a timely and cost-effective manner,” said Radomił Charzyński, Partner at Greenberg Traurig in Warsaw.
