Doug Arend advises clients on regulatory, transactional, and compliance matters across the financial markets, with a practice focused on commodity futures, derivatives, and securities, including managed funds. He represents a sophisticated roster of clients spanning the full range of market participants, including registered and exempt investment advisers, commodity pools and hedge funds, traditional proprietary trading firms, introducing brokers, futures commission merchants and broker-dealers.

Doug has significant experience advising funded-trader proprietary trading firms regarding a wide variety of structuring and regulatory matters. His transactional and regulatory work is equally broad, encompassing public and private offerings, fund formation, business structuring, registration, and compliance.

Beyond his transactional work, Doug has significant experience with the regulatory frameworks governing designated contract markets (DCMs) and derivatives clearing organizations (DCOs), with particular depth in the fast-moving and consequential area of prediction markets and event contracts.
