PHILADELPHIA – March 27, 2023 –The Greenberg TraurigWomen’s Initiative (GTWI) celebrated Women’s History Month with the women leaders of the Philadelphia 76ers. Participants included attorneys from the global law firm’s Philadelphia and Delaware offices, as well as area women business leaders.

White Collar Defense & Special Investigations Practice Shareholder Jessica Natali, co-liaison of the GTWI affinity group in Philadelphia, collaborated with the basketball organization on an event that included a private tour of the Wells Fargo Center, a panel discussion, dinner, and attending a game against the Chicago Bulls.

The panel discussion, moderated by Labor & Employment Practice Shareholder Shira R. Yoshor, featured the 76ers Chief Revenue Officer Katie O’Reilly; Chief Operating Officer Lara Price; and Vice President of Global Strategy, Partnership, and Development Sunshine Rogers. Covering a range of topics, the interactive discussion delved into starting careers in the sports world and navigating a male-dominated industry, through to advice for young women starting careers in the industry

“I’m very grateful so many women could come together to support, learn, and build with each other at such a unique event,” Natali said. “We are very fortunate to have gotten an in-depth and behind-the-scenes look at women not only thriving in the sports industry, but also making our home team successful, is a very special opportunity that we appreciate and will not soon forget.”

GTWI, a firmwide women’s affinity group, is dedicated to the advancement of women attorneys.

“Because of the wonderful team at the Philadelphia 76ers, this event was a big hit for the women of GTWI and friends of the firm. The outstanding women of the Philadelphia 76ers are a force,” Yoshor said. “Being able to hear their perspectives and how they got to the heights of their careers with the support of mentors was really inspiring. We embrace the work of the Women’s Initiative to play that part in our attorney’s lives and careers.”

“The 76ers are proud to support Greenberg Traurig Women’s Initiative in celebrating the achievements of women across all industries and creating mentorship opportunities,” said Lara Price, 76ers Chief Operating Officer. “We recognize how important it is for successful women to be both visible and accessible to young women who will be our future leaders one day.”
