NEW YORK – July 2, 2026 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has strengthened the firm’s Private Equity Practice with the addition of seven specialists in the New York office over the past year. The new hires bring experience across a variety of disciplines, including Benefits & Compensation, Environmental, Labor & Employment, Health Care & FDA, Real Estate, Tax, and Investment Funds.

The new hires are:

Leonard Kim, a shareholder in the Corporate Practice, joined from Kirkland & Ellis LLP in May. He focuses primarily on fund finance, structured finance, and synthetic finance. He has experience with a broad spectrum of financing products and has represented clients on all sides of financing transactions, from institutional and private credit lenders to private equity sponsors, private credit sponsors, registered funds, and business development companies.

Brian Wong, a shareholder in the Health Care & FDA Practice, joined from Goodwin Procter LLP in March. He represents private equity sponsors and health care providers in M&A transactions, other strategic investments, and partnerships across the health care sector. He also has deep health care regulatory experience, advising clients on day-to-day operational and compliance issues, fraud and abuse risks, including Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law compliance, and audits and investigations.

Julia Quigley, an of counsel in the Environmental Practice, joined from Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in January. She advises on all aspects of environmental matters in corporate transactions, assisting clients in identifying and managing environmental contamination, compliance, and operational risk. Beyond negotiating corporate transaction agreements in the private equity context, Quigley structures environmental insurance programs for the transfer of environmental risk, advises portfolio companies on managing ongoing environmental remediation and compliance, and negotiates environmentally sensitive provisions of real estate transaction documents, including leases, property sale agreements, environmental indemnity, and access agreements.

Chris (Sang Min) Shim, a shareholder in the Tax Practice, joined from Ropes & Gray LLP in October 2025. He advises private equity sponsors, fund managers, institutional investors, and corporate clients on federal income tax matters arising in M&A, private equity transactions, and other complex business transactions. He also counsels private equity, hedge, credit, and real estate funds on tax issues relating to fund formation, structuring, operations, and ongoing fund manager matters.

Lucas Kilravey, an of counsel in the Real Estate Practice, joined from Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in November 2025. He advises clients on all aspects of real estate matters in connection with domestic and international corporate transactions. Kilravey assists a broad range of private equity firms, public companies, and portfolio companies in identifying risks and navigating real estate considerations across industries and jurisdictions. Kilravey has deep experience negotiating commercial leases in connection with corporate transactions and supporting ongoing client operations.

Evangelia Podaras, a shareholder in the Labor & Employment Practice, joined from Kirkland & Ellis LLP in November 2025. She advises clients in connection with U.S. and multijurisdictional corporate transactions, ranging from minority-stake investments to multibillion-dollar acquisitions, including acquisition-related labor and employment due diligence, risk assessment, and post-acquisition workforce integration. She regularly counsels private equity firms and their portfolio companies on executive separations, internal investigations, restrictive covenants, and other employment matters.

Fishel Schreiber, a shareholder in the Benefits & Compensation Practice, joined from Kirkland & Ellis in June 2025. He handles all aspects of executive compensation matters in complex business transactions, with a particular focus on private equity transactions, including domestic and cross-border mergers, leveraged buyouts, and joint ventures. He advises clients as they negotiate employment and separation agreements, and structure and implement management equity and cash-based incentive plans.
