NEW YORK – Nov. 7, 2025 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP sponsored the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Foundation’s Good Lawyers to Great Lawyers Professional Development Retreat in Carlsbad, Calif., from Nov. 3-5. A team of Greenberg Traurig lawyers attended and two spoke on panels during the retreat.

Tonya M. Esposito, a Litigation shareholder in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office, spoke on a panel entitled “Leading with Conviction — Navigating Controversial Issues with Confidence.” The panelists discussed reputation management, how to navigate internal and external pressures, and how to display resilience in high-stakes moments.

“The Good Lawyers to Great Lawyers Retreat is such a unique opportunity because it provides the forum to share ideas and have meaningful discussions about issues these lawyers face each and every day,” Esposito said. “Discussions on governance, risk, and collaboration help attendees build a more strategic, values-driven practice.”

Peter J. Andrews, a Government Law & Policy shareholder in the firm’s Atlanta office, spoke on a panel called “The First 100 Days — Your Blueprint for GC Success.” The panelists laid out actionable steps that general counsels can employ to quickly understand their company’s culture, establish themselves as strategic leaders, and build trust from day one.

“It was an honor to be part of this event that serves such a crucial role helping lawyers reach the next level,” Andrews said. “We understand the challenges they face and hope we were able to provide some helpful advice on how to translate leadership concepts into tangible tools they can take home with them.”
