Greenberg Traurig Attorneys Assist with Development of Mandarin Oriental, Grand Cayman

WASHINGTON D.C. – July 30, 2018 – A team of Greenberg Traurig, LLP Hospitality Practice attorneys represented Beach Bay Land Limited as the owner of a new mixed-use development on Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands to be managed by Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. Mandarin Oriental, Grand Cayman is currently scheduled to open in 2021. 

The global law firm’s team was led by Global Hospitality Practice Co-Chair Nelson F. Migdal and included Associates Nicholas N. Palmer and Rosemarie Salguero. 

“It was a pleasure to assist in formulating the relationship between the hotel owner and the hotel manager under the suite of hotel management and licensing agreements for this exceptional resort community,” Migdal said. “We are certain that Beach Bay Land Limited’s new property will be a spectacular addition to the island.”

According to the Mandarin Oriental, Mandarin Oriental, Grand Cayman will be an exclusive 100-room beachfront resort with 89 branded Residences at Mandarin Oriental. Located 15 minutes from the airport, the resort will be situated on 67 acres at St. James Point, on the southern shore of the island. There will be five restaurants and bars providing a variety of experiences and views over the ocean, a spacious spa, fitness center, outdoor swimming pools and tennis courts, and landscaped walking and cycling trails. This will be the second property in the Caribbean for Mandarin Oriental.
