Greenberg Traurig Advises Spring Valley Acquisition Corp. III on Business Combination with General Fusion Inc.

NEW YORK – July 16, 2026 Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP advised Spring Valley Acquisition Corp. III on the completion of its business combination with General Fusion Inc., creating General Fusion Group Ltd. (General Fusion), the first publicly listed fusion energy company. The combined company’s common stock and warrants began trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market on July 13 under the ticker symbols “GFUZ” and “GFUZW,” respectively.

General Fusion has entered the public markets with approximately $150 million in cash, inclusive of net transaction proceeds from the private placement and trust capital, to advance its practical fusion energy technology. The capital is expected to fund General Fusion’s Lawson program through key technical milestones targeted for completion in 2028. The capital raised will be used to demonstrate and de-risk its Magnetized Target Fusion (MTF) technology in a commercially relevant way.

General Fusion is working to develop a practical path to fusion power, with the goal of addressing major global challenges including climate change, energy security, and the growing energy demands of artificial intelligence and data centers. The company’s MTF technology is purpose-built with a commercial power plant in mind, designed to overcome key barriers to commercialization and integrate with existing power plant infrastructure. Its flagship machine, LM26, is the first MTF demonstration device built at a commercially relevant scale and serves as a critical step on the path toward fusion commercialization.
