Michael T. Lynott focuses on transactional real estate law. He represents national and Florida-based property owners and tenants in the areas of office, industrial and retail leasing. He also represents national and Florida-based clients in connection with the acquisition, financing and disposition of retail, office, industrial and multifamily residential properties throughout the United States.

Prior to joining GT, Mr. Lynott served as assistant general counsel with a Fortune 500 provider of transportation and logistics services, where he handled real estate acquisitions and dispositions, environmental work and other legal actions for the company and its owned and leased properties around the world.

  • Represented a Massachusetts-based real estate investment advisor on the leasing of its South Florida office, retail and industrial real estate portfolio.
  • Represented a Texas-based real estate investment fund on the leasing of its 30-story office tower in downtown Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
  • Represented an international apparel manufacturer in the lease of and its ultimate purchase of a  475,000 square foot warehouse facility in South Carolina.
  • Represented previous employer in the negotiation of a build to suit lease for its new 235,000 square foot headquarters facility in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
  • Represented previous employer in the negotiation of industrial leases totaling over one million square feet in an Alliance, Texas, multi-use development, including a 756,000 square foot warehouse lease.
  • Represented previous employer in the negotiation of a Framework Agreement with one of the nation's largest industrial developers to allow it to obtain more flexible lease terms (including early termination rights, flex-up/down rights, and relocation rights) for its logistics customers.
  • Represented an international retailer on the purchase of a build to suit 325,000 square foot warehouse facility in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
  • Represented a Texas-based real estate investment fund on the acquisition and financing of numerous office, industrial, multi-family and mixed use developments throughout the United States, including “trophy” properties in New York, Boston, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
  • Represented previous employer in the negotiation of Corporate Real Estate Services Agreement(s) in connection with the outsourcing of its internal real estate, construction and property management departments.
  • Represented previous employer in connection with the first “charter school in the workplace” at its corporate headquarters facility in Miami-Dade County, Florida.

    • Responsibilities included negotiating and approving leases, purchase and sale contracts and other real estate related documentation with a heavy emphasis on the environmental implications of such documents.
