NEW YORK – Aug. 1, 2017 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP is acting as construction counsel to global real estate developer Triple Five Group of Companies in connection with the $5 billion American Dream project. American Dream, to be located in northern New Jersey just across the Hudson River from Manhattan, reportedly will be the largest entertainment and shopping complex of its kind in the United States.
Currently under construction and slated to open in March 2019, American Dream is expected to include a DreamWorks water park and a Nickelodeon Universe interactive theme park – each said to be the largest of its kind in the world. The project will also include a movie theater, a performing arts theater, a bowling alley, an 18-hole miniature golf course, an ice skating rink, an aquarium, an indoor ski and snowboard hill, and a variety of global retailers, restaurants and specialty shops. According to Triple Five, the project will rank among three largest tourism, retail and entertainment complexes in the world, joining two other Triple Five properties: the West Edmonton Mall® in Canada and the Mall of America® in Minnesota.
The Greenberg Traurig construction law team on this high-profile matter is led by the firm’s Construction Law Practice Co-chair, Shareholder Robert Epstein (New Jersey and New York) and Shareholder David Jensen (New Jersey and New York).
