David Jensen, an attorney with more than 25 years of experience and more than 15 years of practice focused on construction contract negotiation and drafting, has represented numerous owner and developer entities in virtually every facet of construction.  He has counseled owners and developers in construction projects including project delivery, risk allocation, bid preparation, and project administration. David’s representations include a diverse project base, including commercial, mixed-use and residential developments, public and public private partnership infrastructure projects, industrial and other specialized projects.

  • Construction counsel to Triple Five Group in connection with construction of a $2 billion American Dream entertainment and retail complex, water park and amusement park in New Jersey’s Meadowlands.
  • Construction counsel to Red Apple Group as developer/owner of multiple new construction projects including (i) a $70 million, 15-story, 240,000 sq. ft., mixed use project with approximately 213 residential apartment units, and (ii) a $60 million, 15-story, 265,000 sq. ft. mixed use project with approximately 205 residential units and 166 space indoor parking garage in Brooklyn, New York, as well as numerous other projects.
  • Construction counsel to RBH Group as developer of multiple projects which include the Development and construction of the Honors Living-Learning Community at Rutgers University-Newark, a 320,000 square foot mixed-used development for Rutgers University, as well as other similar “Teachers’ Village” projects in Connecticut and Georgia.
  • Construction counsel to Tiffany & Company for renovation and construction of the Tiffany & Company flagship location at 200 Fifth Avenue, New York 10010, including related access agreements.
  • Construction counsel to The Dalton Schools, Inc. with respect to renovations and related neighboring access agreements for their campus building at East 89th Street, New York.
  • Construction counsel to developer of 25o room luxury hotel and branded residences project in New York’s NoMad neighborhood.
  • Construction counsel to 1500 Harbor as developer of a six-story residential apartment building conversion project, approximately 225,000 gross square feet, constructed along the Hudson River in Weehawken, New Jersey.
  • Construction counsel to BGY Cityview as developer of the “Skyline Tower” a 1 million plus square foot, 67-story, 800-unit condominium project in Long Island City, New York.
  • Construction counsel to developer of residential tower at the “Crown Building”, an existing 26 story building located at 728-734 Fifth Avenue. The project includes conversion of the portions of the existing main building comprising into a luxury hotel, together with new residences on floors 11 to 26 as well as an additional 10 new floors of residential units.
  • Construction counsel to Blue Wolf Capital Partners, LLC in connection with its acquisition of Kirlin Design Build LLC, one of the country’s leading engineering and construction companies, focused on large, complex federal and private sector projects. 
  • Pro bono construction counsel to the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America for restart of construction of St. Nicholas Church located at the World Trade Center site downtown.
  • Construction counsel to Canon USA, Inc. in connection with numerous capital improvement and expansion projects throughout the United States, including a new $250 million national headquarters in New York and numerous other capital improvement projects.
  • Construction counsel to Kimco Realty with respect to their Hylan Plaza shopping center development located in Staten Island, New York.
  • Construction counsel to Intuitive Surgical Inc. with respect to numerous construction projects, including their $175MM expansion project of the Sunnyvale, California campus over 17 acres to include an additional 730,000 GSF of office space, R&D workspaces, engineering labs, and manufacturing.
  • Construction counsel to International Market Centers with respect to negotiation of project contracts for their intended 385,000 SF Exposition Center to be located at the World Market Center Las Vegas, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
  • Construction counsel to developer of the proposed Kingsbridge National Ice Center within the Kingsbridge Armory in the Bronx, New York to include a complete repurposing and renovation of all areas of the existing historic armory, into a fully equipped nine rink international ice center, including concessions and related amenities.
  • Construction counsel to Georgia Department of Transportation for design-build-finance procurement for Northwest Corridor Project, a 30-mile reversible managed lane highway project.
  • Construction counsel to Georgia World Congress Center Authority for Atlanta Falcons Stadium construction project and more recent hotel expansion project.
  • Representation of a major New York private university in drafting and negotiating a project labor agreement and community benefits agreement to govern a long-term university expansion project extending over 17 acres.
  • Construction counsel to Manhattan Youth Center, a not-for-profit corporation, in for the construction of a downtown youth center constructed with public and private financing.
