ATLANTA – Oct. 25, 2019 – Ernest LaMont Greer, co-president of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, was selected as the “Man of the Year” and one of “Georgia's Most Powerful and Influential Attorneys” at the 2019-2020 Law and Justice Awards.
The awards are presented annually by the Women Works Media Group to attorneys and judges that have devoted their careers to serving the public interest in their respective pursuits of justice. The event was held on Oct. 18 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Atlanta.
“Ernest's dedication to serving the public and giving back to our Atlanta community has been the catalyst for change across our city,” said Managing Shareholder of the Atlanta office, Theodore I. Blum. “Within Greenberg Traurig, Ernest serves as part of the critical force behind many of the firm's strategic partnerships that benefit our clients, attorneys, and business professionals.”
Greer has served in several leadership roles within the firm, including vice president of the firm (2013-2015) and the Atlanta office's managing shareholder for nearly a decade. Through professional affiliations and personal commitments, Greer prioritizes service to his community and is a long supporter of education, the arts, public health, and human rights. He is widely recognized for his professional and charitable leadership and currently serves on the boards for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, the Atlanta History Center, Achieve Atlanta, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, and Atlanta Police Foundation.
