Greenberg Traurig’s Bruce Fischer and Irene Kim Recognized as Commercial Real Estate Visionaries

ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. – Oct. 5, 2022 – Bruce Fischer, co-managing shareholder of global law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP’s Orange County office and chair of the firm’s West Coast Real Estate Practice, and Irene Pyun Kim, a real estate shareholder in the firm’s Orange County office, were named 2022 OC Visionaries by the TimesOC, a local publication arm of the Los Angeles Times.

Fischer and Kim join an elite group of professionals highlighted for their noteworthy successes and accomplishments during the last two years, with emphasis on major real estate projects and deals closed. Exemplary leadership within their organizations and communities based in Orange County was also a major criterion for inclusion, according to the publication. Their profiles appeared in the October 2022 issue of Orange County Commercial Real Estate: Trends, Updates & Visionaries magazine which is produced by the Los Angeles Times brand publishing team.

Fischer focuses his California and nationwide practice on working with real estate funds, real estate investment trusts (REITs) and institutional owners, and their advisors, in connection with the purchase and sale, ground-up development, and financing of commercial properties, directly or through the formation of joint ventures with local operators and/or developers. In recent years, Fischer has gained significant experience in representing his clients in connection with the acquisition and ground-up development of large, mixed-use projects – including multiple tiers of financing with mortgage, mezzanine, and bond debt – in Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, San Francisco, and Santa Clara.

Kim has been an essential member of the firm’s commercial real estate practice for more than a decade. Her practice, while based in Orange County, is national in its scope, encompassing national projects and real estate transactions for REITs, real estate funds, and financial institutions. Kim’s work with commercial banks involves the origination and restructuring of construction loans, permanent loans, and multiphase residential projects. She also represents real estate funds in connection with the acquisition, disposition, and financing of commercial and multifamily projects throughout the United States.
