Kelly Dobbs Bunting Elected To College of Labor & Employment Lawyers

PHILADELPHIA – July 6, 2023 – Kelly Dobbs Bunting, co-chair of the Labor & Employment Practice's Workplace Compliance & Counseling Group of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, was elected a College of Labor & Employment Lawyers Fellow. Her installation as a Fellow will take place Nov. 11 at the American Bar Association (ABA) Labor & Employment Law Section’s Continuing Legal Education Conference in Seattle. Election as a Fellow is the highest recognition by ones’ colleagues for sustained outstanding performance in the profession, exemplifying integrity, dedication, and excellence, according to the college.

The College of Labor & Employment Lawyers is a nonprofit professional association established in 1995 through an initiative of the ABA’s Labor &Employment Law Section Council to recognize those who, by long and outstanding service, have distinguished themselves as leaders in the field.

Bunting has considerable experience defending class and collective wage and hour litigation and misclassification claims, as well as defending employers in Title III American with Disabilities Act access litigation and claims alleging discrimination based on race, sex, pregnancy, age, religion and disability, and harassment, and retaliation. She is deeply experienced in virtually all aspects of employment litigation, including breach of contract, wrongful termination, non-competition and non-solicitation, trade secrets, whistleblower claims, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and failure to accommodate claims.

She also has identified and managed employment issues in mergers and acquisitions deals and regularly counsels international and foreign-based employers on compliance with U.S. employment law. She has appeared before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, National Labor Relations Board, and Department of Labor in many states, as well as state agencies in Delaware, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Bunting has represented many clients in mediation and settlement negotiations and created human resources and compliance training modules. She is regularly sought after as a workforce trainer for issues related to harassment and discrimination, legal compliance, and lawful management techniques.
