McLEAN, Va. – July 11, 2023 – Timothy McLister, a Government Contracts associate in the Northern Virginia office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has been named to the 2023 “Loudoun 40 Under 40” list, which recognizes the county’s rising business and community leaders.
McLister focuses his practice on government contracts and procurement matters. He regularly advises clients in Small Business Administration initiatives (SBA) and contract formation work, including forming joint ventures, negotiating teaming agreements, and developing small business subcontracting plans. He also provides advice regarding the Buy American Act (BAA), Free Trade Agreements (FTA), and export controls.
Prior to entering private practice, he served as an Active-Duty Captain in the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps, where he represented the United States Army in its litigation and procurement strategy. He also served as the Senior Trial Counsel for the nation’s Contingency Corps where he managed a team of prosecutors at the nation’s largest military installation.
“To thrive in the JAG Corps and Big Law, then translate that knowledge for clients in a meaningful and effective way takes a special kind of person,” said Northern Virginia Co-Managing Shareholders Laura Foote Reiff and Michael R. Sklaire. “Tim is hardworking and dedicated to his craft, and we are excited to see what’s next for him.”
Now in its 10th year, the Loudoun 40 Under 40 awards received 215 nominations for the 2023 class. The honorees will be recognized at an awards banquet at Bluemont Vineyard on Sept. 21, and in a special section in the Loudoun Times-Mirror the following day.
